Ridership on Amtrak's Chicago-Bloomington/Normal-Springfield-St. Louis Lincoln Service and Texas Eagle increased six percent from FY 2009 and 21 percent from FY 2007. This is the Amtrak route for which the State has applied for high-speed rail stimulus funding. Other Illinois routes also show significant overall increases between 2007-2009.
