One Voice, One Transportation Future

Join Lake County Transportation Alliance (LCTA) as we help make Lake County, Illinois a more enjoyable place to live and work. By banding together to set transportation priorities, we can make our voice heard in both Springfield and Washington and effect the changes needed to ease traffic congestion now and build a solid transportation infrastructure that anticipates growth in commercial and residential development.

Our Members

In addition to legislators, city officials and county and municipal planning and transportation agencies, LCTA is working to attract members among those in the transportation business and allied fields, including engineering firms, surveyors, appraisers, trucking firms, road building and road building materials companies, contractors and architects, as well as corporations.

Our Mission
Lake County Transportation Alliance (LCTA) is a public-private advocacy group created to raise awareness and build consensus on development and implementation of short and long-term transportation goals and objectives in Lake County, Illinois.

LCTA works to leverage local, county, state, federal and private resources to mitigate the traffic congestion impacting Lake County’s residents and businesses. Areas of interest include highways, commuter rail, bus transit, rail freight and air service.

Through its efforts, LCTA hopes to sustain and enhance Lake County’s high quality of life and provide tangible benefits to the community, including quality job retention and creation, capital investment, economic diversity and promote integrated land use and infrastructure planning to stimulate sustainable economic growth.
